Our Co-creation WorkshopsIn 2024, there were three rounds of Vision workshops (online and in person), twelve workshops in total. A total of 65 people participated in the co-creation process, many of whom were involved in all three rounds. 

We had representation from a variety of organisations, local community and government agencies take part. This included: 

  • The Gordon staff
  • People with disability and family members or carers
  • Victorian TAFE Network staff in disability and access roles
  • Disability Service Providers
  • Disability Employment Service (DES) providers,
  • Allied Health
  • Business, Legal and Tourism sectors
  • Advocacy groups
  • Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions 
  • Victorian Skills Authority 
  • Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery and 
  • Local Government (Geelong and the surrounding areas)

From these robust collaborative discussions, a vision and goals for the Centre has emerged. Key themes identified during the workshops were:

  • Culture
  • Pathways
  • Holistic student support
  • Student Success
  • Collaboration
  • Capability, and
  • Centre of Excellence Success
